An encounter with the artist, his life and work.
An initiative of Mu.ZEE and Toerisme Oostende.

The vast majority of Leon Spilliaert’s works are on paper and extremely sensitive to light, which means the periods during which they can be exhibited are limited. LeonSpilliaert.be serves as a digital encounter with the artist, his life and work. It is the ultimate platform providing information about Léon Spilliaert. LeonSpilliaert.be is an initiative of Mu.ZEE and Toerisme Oostende and received support from Toerisme Vlaanderen as part of the relaunch project Thuis in de wereld van Léon Spilliaert. The website was launched in December 2024 and has been evolving ever since.
